Fine-flowing Gel for prolonged hydration and protection against severe dry eyes
Composition: Trehalose 3%, Hyaluronic Acid 0.15% & Carbomer 0.25%
Thealoz® Duo Gel is a hypotonic artificial tear formulation that combines the cytoprotective and regenerative properties of Trehalose 3%, the lubrication, hydration and healing of Hyaluronic acid 0.15% and the prolonged action of Carbomer 0.25%.
Hyaluronic acid is a biopolymer with the ability to hold large amounts of water and at the same time adhere to the ocular surface providing greater hydration and lubrication. At the same time, trehalose enhances the prolonged action of hyaluronic acid, resulting in the reduction of drips by up to 50%.
In dry eye, extreme conditions prevail on the ocular surface, such as a hyperosmotic and dry environment, which result in the cells dehydrating and falling off, resulting in inflammation in the area. Trehalose enters the epithelial cells and protects the cell membrane from water loss and proteins from denaturation, thus avoiding osmotic stress and cell dehydration.
Both Hyaluronic Acid and Trehalose aid in the migration, adhesion, proliferation and protection of ocular surface cells. The regenerative and healing action of Thealoz® Duo Gel make it an ideal formulation after eye surgeries and injuries.
Carbomer (CARBOPOL 974P) has the ability to adhere to the mucous layer of tears (mucoadhesive polymer), thus increasing the time Thealoz® Duo Gel stays on the ocular surface, creating a moisturizing film.
The solution of Thealoz® Duo Gel is thin, offers a long stay on the ocular surface and prolonged hydration, without sticking and blurring the vision.
Thealoz® Duo Gel is recommended for evening use or for patients with severe dry eye.

Thealoz®Duo Gel is available in a pack of 30 single-dose containers (30 containers x 0.5 g) without preservatives.
Wash your hands thoroughly before use
Remove a single-dose container
Turn upside down and squeeze the container
Open the container and squeeze until you see the gel
Instill one drop into the conjunctival sac (the space between the eye and the eyelid), gently pulling the lower eyelid and looking up
Discard the container, even if some solution remains.
If you wear contact lenses you must remove them before using Thealoz Duo Ge, wait at least 30 minutes before reinserting your contact lenses.
DOSAGE: 1 drop in each eye, from 1 to 4 times a day. The gel is mainly suitable for use in the evening, just before going to bed.
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Do not touch the surface of the eye with the nozzle of the container.
Do not use damaged containers.
