The mouthwash Eludril contains two active ingredients , gluconate chlorhexidine and chlorbutanol hemihydrate. Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic and disinfectant agent , which is active against various bacteria, viruses, bacterial spores and fungi . Kills microorganisms associated with a variety of infections of the mouth and throat . These include the fungus Candida albicans and bacteria that may infect mouth ulcers . The Chlorhexidine has been shown to prevent the formation and build up of plaque on the teeth , chlorobutanol is also antiseptic agent that kills bacteria and fungi.
