Almost all studies using Ginkgo biloba have been conducted with a standardized extract called GBE, containing 24% glycosides. This standardized extract is used in Lamberts' 6000mg Ginkgo Biloba.
Lamberts uses titratable extracts for herb preparation, since the extraction and concentration-increasing procedures used ensure that the final product has a higher concentration of active ingredients and therefore more effective. On the other hand, many herbal products on the market contain the whole plant in powder form without being produced on the basis of the quantity of active ingredients.
Each tablet contains 120mg of the herbal extract titrated, equivalent to 6000mg dried ginkgo leaves.
The tablets have been prepared by the method of controlled release formulation. With this form we achieve a gradual release and absorption of the active ingredients of the herb in the circulation (within 2 hours of taking) and thus reduce the likelihood of occurrence of undesirable effects such as mild and short-term headache.
